We are looking for a Java Backend Developer (JavaScript/React), who is/are able to fulfill the following requirements:

Duration: 12 Months

Requirements:
- Degree in IT Software Engineering
- At least 7 years' backend development experience
- Deep knowledge in Software Engineering with Java (OpenJDK), SQL, SOAP or REST APIs, various Spring technologies (e.g Boot, MVC, Security, Integration), Hibernate, Git / GitHub
- Fundamental experience in designing and implementing banking APIs (e.g. via Apigee, JSON interfaces, Microservices)
- Fundamental experience in implementing robust and scalable backend applications
- Experienced with containerized applications (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker) in a decentral environment (Linux, Oracle, cloud infrastructure)
- Experience with search engines (Elastic Search or Azure Search) would be a great addition
- A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Highly committed with a positive attitude and a great interest in shaping the future of technology in banking
- Experienced in a global environment, a good team player, analytically skilled person who manages to cope with complex challenges in software engineering
- Self-reliant, strong communicator verbally and in writing and a reliable partner who's known for delivering in time
- Experience with financial instruments and market data would be a plus

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend applications which interact with various surrounding systems and seamlessly integrate with a client facing frontend
- Deploy the new applications into test environments and assure high quality software deliveries
- Be part of a strong team and contribute to team success
- Translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical designs
- Drive excellence in: software design & analysis, development methodologies, oral/written communication, requirements analysis and effort estimations
- Challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas and solutions
